The father of Bea was Brian was a veterinarian for horses that committed suicide when she was just three years old. But, she was not aware of the cause of her death until she was 13 years old. The stage name she chose was Bea to pay tribute to her father who passed away. Bea also published a 2017 article in The Guardian on her family's death experience. Bea's mother Helen was also a trainer for jockeys as well as a former professional jockey was responsible for raising her as well as Sinead. Their family was passionate about horses and races. Bea spent her childhood as an instructor for the Irish National Stud. From the age of a child, Bea knew that she didn't want racing as a career. She was more interested in the performing arts.
